Shoved into the Turn 1 wall on the opening circuit, Heim rejoined in a patched No. 11 Mobil 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and worked back to the front. He took the lead by staying out on an Overtime restart while teammate Brent Crews pitted, then pulled away to win by 1.338 seconds over Crews. The victory broke TRICON Garage's tie with Greg Biffle for the most wins in a single Truck Series season and locked Heim into the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway.
