Zane Smith drives the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series. Smith returned to Front Row's Cup program in 2025 after his rookie 2024 Cup season at Spire Motorsports, and continues with the team in 2026.
Born June 9, 1999 in Huntington Beach, California, Smith began on BMX bikes at age three before transitioning to go-karts, where he won championships for five consecutive years. He moved up through legends cars, super late models, and ARCA, where he was the 2018 series Rookie of the Year and championship runner-up.
Smith is the 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, capturing the title and the regular-season championship for Front Row Motorsports in the No. 38 Ford F-150. He owns nine career Truck Series victories. He finished as the Truck Series championship runner-up in both 2020 and 2021 with GMS Racing, earning Rookie of the Year and Most Popular Driver honors in 2020. Smith made his Cup Series debut as a substitute driver for RFK Racing in 2022 and ran a partial schedule with Front Row in 2023 before his full-time Cup Series rookie season in 2024 with Spire Motorsports.
