Sonoma Raceway is a 1.99-mile road course in Sonoma, California, in the heart of the wine country north of San Francisco.

The track features elevation changes of more than 160 feet across its 12 turns and is currently owned by Speedway Motorsports. Sonoma opened in 1968 as Sears Point Raceway. The NASCAR Cup Series uses a modified course configuration; sports car racing uses the longer 2.52-mile layout. Cup teams have raced at Sonoma since 1989, making it one of NASCAR's longest-running road course events.

A win at Sonoma is considered a road-course specialist's victory. The track favors precise braking, throttle modulation, and patience through hairpin turns. Drivers including Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and more recently Kyle Larson have built reputations on the technical demands of the California road course.
