Iowa Speedway is a 0.875-mile oval in Newton, Iowa.
The track features progressive banking of 12 to 14 degrees in the turns and 4 degrees on the straights. Iowa opened in 2006 and is owned by NASCAR. Designed by NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace, the track was built specifically as a driver-friendly venue with progressive banking that allows multiple racing grooves.
Iowa hosted NASCAR's lower national series for years before the Cup Series made its debut at the track in 2024. The race has quickly become a fan favorite for its short-track-style action on a slightly larger oval. A win at Iowa reflects mastery of a progressive-banking layout that rewards drivers who can use the entire racing surface.
