Erik Jones drives the No. 43 Toyota Camry XSE for Legacy Motor Club in the NASCAR Cup Series, carrying the iconic car number that "The King" Richard Petty made famous. Jones is one of the most decorated young drivers of his generation, with championships and Rookie of the Year honors across all three NASCAR national series.
Born May 30, 1996 in Byron, Michigan, Jones started in quarter midgets at age seven and progressed through Late Model competition, winning the 2012 Snowball Derby at age 16 to announce himself nationally. He made his NASCAR debut in 2013 and joined Joe Gibbs Racing's driver development program with Toyota.
Jones has three NASCAR Cup Series victories, including the 2018 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway and back-to-back Southern 500 wins at Darlington Raceway in 2019 and 2022. He also won the 2020 Busch Clash exhibition race at Daytona. He is the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, capturing that title at age 19 to become the series' youngest champion at the time. He is the only driver in NASCAR history to win Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors in all three of NASCAR's national series, doing so in consecutive seasons (Trucks 2015, Xfinity 2016, Cup 2017).
Jones is an avid classic Chevrolet Corvette collector, with the Erik Jones Foundation supporting children's hospitals and charitable efforts. He resides in North Carolina.
