Denny Hamlin drives the No. 11 Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he enters his 21st full-time Cup season in 2026. He is also co-owner, with NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, of 23XI Racing. Hamlin is regarded as the winningest active Cup driver who has not yet captured a series championship.

Born November 18, 1980, Hamlin grew up in Chesterfield, Virginia, racing go-karts before moving up through Late Model Stock cars and getting noticed at a Joe Gibbs Racing test in his early 20s. He has driven for JGR throughout his entire Cup career.

Hamlin has 61 NASCAR Cup Series victories, with crown-jewel triumphs at the 2022 Coca-Cola 600, the 2010, 2017, and 2021 Southern 500, and the Daytona 500 in 2016, 2019, and 2020. He is one of only five drivers in history to win the Daytona 500 in back-to-back years. His most recent win came at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March 2026. Hamlin has set the record for most playoff appearances and finished runner-up in the championship standings in both 2010 and 2025.

Through 23XI Racing, Hamlin has helped develop the careers of Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick, and the team scored its first Daytona 500 victory as an owner with Reddick in February 2026. He hosts the popular "Actions Detrimental" podcast covering racing topics.
