Daytona International Speedway is a 2.5-mile tri-oval superspeedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The track features 31 degrees of banking in the turns, 18 degrees in the tri-oval, and 3 degrees on the straights. Daytona opened in 1959 and is owned by NASCAR. The track also includes a 3.56-mile road course used for sports car racing, including the 24 Hours of Daytona.

Daytona hosts the season-opening Daytona 500, NASCAR's most prestigious crown jewel race and the unofficial "Great American Race." The track also hosts a summer Cup Series race and the Cook Out Clash preseason exhibition was held here for decades before moving. As at Talladega, pack racing and the threat of the "Big One" multi-car crash define the racing. Richard Petty holds the record for most Cup Series wins at Daytona with ten.
