Cole Custer drives the No. 41 Haas Factory Team Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the NASCAR Cup Series. Custer returned to Cup Series competition full-time in 2025 with the rebranded Haas Factory Team after spending 2023 and 2024 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Born January 23, 1998 in Ladera Ranch, California, Custer is the son of Haas Factory Team president Joe Custer. He began racing quarter midgets at age four and won the 2011 USAC National Focus Young Guns Championship. As a teenager, he became the youngest race winner in K&N Pro Series history and made his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut at age 16, becoming the youngest winner in Truck Series history with a 2014 victory at New Hampshire.

Custer is the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series champion. He owns 15 career Xfinity Series wins, including a regular-season title and a Championship 4 appearance in 2024 with Stewart-Haas Racing. His Cup Series career includes one victory, the 2020 Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway in his rookie season, when he became the first Cup rookie since Chris Buescher in 2016 to reach victory lane.

For 2026, Haas Factory Team aligned with Chevrolet (a return to its Stewart-Haas Racing roots) and entered into a technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports for engines and equipment. Custer continues with crew chief Aaron Kramer atop the box. He resides in North Carolina.
