Chris Buescher drives the No. 17 RFK Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse in the NASCAR Cup Series, where he is a longtime teammate and stablemate to driver-owner Brad Keselowski. Buescher is a NASCAR Xfinity Series champion and a multi-time Cup Series winner who has helped power RFK Racing's resurgence.
Born October 29, 1992 in Prosper, Texas, Buescher came up through legends cars in the Texas region and moved to North Carolina as a teenager to pursue racing. He won the 2012 ARCA Racing Series championship, becoming the youngest series champion at the time, and the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship before moving up to Cup Series competition the following year with Front Row Motorsports.
Buescher has six NASCAR Cup Series victories. His first came at Pocono Raceway in 2016. He produced the most successful stretch of his career in 2023 with three wins in a five-week stretch (Richmond, Michigan, and the regular-season finale at Daytona) and a career-best seventh in the season standings. His sixth career Cup victory came at Watkins Glen in September 2024, his first Cup win on a road course. In 2024 at Kansas Speedway, he came up just inches short in what was the closest finish in NASCAR Cup Series history, falling to Kyle Larson in a photo finish.
Buescher has consistently delivered top-15 results and made multiple playoff appearances during his RFK tenure. He resides in North Carolina with his wife Emma.
