Charlotte Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile quad-oval intermediate in Concord, North Carolina, just north of Charlotte.

The track features 24 degrees of banking in the turns and 5 degrees on the straights. Charlotte opened in 1960 and is owned by Speedway Motorsports. The facility also includes the Charlotte Roval, a 2.32-mile road course that combines the oval with an infield road section.

Charlotte hosts the Coca-Cola 600 on Memorial Day weekend, NASCAR's longest race and a crown jewel that has been a holiday tradition for decades. The track also hosted the NASCAR All-Star Race for many years before that event began rotating among venues. A win at Charlotte, particularly in the Coca-Cola 600, carries elevated significance among NASCAR triumphs.
