Austin Dillon drives the iconic No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in the NASCAR Cup Series. The grandson of team owner and NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Childress, Dillon carries one of the most historically significant car numbers in stock car racing.

Born April 27, 1990, Dillon grew up in Welcome, North Carolina, in the shadow of his grandfather's race shop. He worked his way up through the lower divisions, winning 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rookie of the Year and then the 2011 series championship, followed by Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year in 2012 and the 2013 series title.

Dillon has six NASCAR Cup Series victories, headlined by crown-jewel triumphs at the 2017 Coca-Cola 600 and the 2018 Daytona 500, the latter coming twenty years to the day after Dale Earnhardt's 2001 death and on a last-lap pass that returned the No. 3 to Daytona victory lane. He has also won at Texas in 2020, Daytona in August 2022, and back-to-back Richmond Raceway races in September 2024 and August 2025, becoming the first RCR driver since Earnhardt to win consecutive races at the Virginia short track.

Outside the car, Dillon serves as general manager of the Carolina Cowboys in the PBR Teams league. He is an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time hunting, fishing, and with his family.
