23XI Racing is a Huntersville, North Carolina based NASCAR team competing in the Cup Series with Toyota. NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan and Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin announced the team's formation in September 2020 and began competition in 2021. The team's name combines Jordan's longtime jersey number and the No. 11 Hamlin has driven throughout his Cup career.
The organization expanded quickly. Hamlin and Jordan grew 23XI from a single-car operation in 2021 to three full-time Cup entries by the end of 2025. The team's first Cup win came at Talladega in October 2021 with Bubba Wallace. Tyler Reddick has emerged as the team's championship threat, and Wallace claimed the 2025 Brickyard 400. The team also navigated a high-profile antitrust lawsuit against NASCAR alongside Front Row Motorsports, settled in December 2025.
For the 2026 Cup Series season, 23XI fields three full-time entries: Wallace in the No. 23, Riley Herbst in the No. 35, and Reddick in the No. 45. The team also runs a part-time No. 67 for Corey Heim. Reddick opened 2026 in historic fashion, winning the Daytona 500, Atlanta, and the Circuit of The Americas in succession to become the first driver in Cup history to win the first three races of a season.
The organization operates from a state-of-the-art facility called Airspeed and maintains a technical alliance with Joe Gibbs Racing, with Toyota Racing Development supplying its engines.
