Rex Racing Co. Partners with Brayton Laster for ARCA Menards Series Race at Springfield

Rex Racing Co. is excited to be riding along with "The Pizza Man," Brayton Laster, in the Clubb Racing, Inc. No. 83 Ford Fusion for this weekend’s ARCA Menards Series Calypso 100 at the Springfield Dirt Mile.

Laster will be getting back to his dirt-racing roots at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in a special Rex Racing Co. "Pizza Car" scheme as he takes on one of the most unique races on the ARCA Menards Series schedule.

For Rex Racing Co., a brand built around racing, diecast collecting, and having a little fun along the way, partnering with "The Pizza Man" was a natural fit.

The Pizza Man Returns to the Dirt

Before competing on some of the biggest tracks in stock car racing, Brayton Laster built his racing career on the dirt.

The Greenwood, Indiana native began racing at just eight years old before working his way through a wide variety of disciplines. Laster moved into Super Dirt Late Models at age 15 and earned 2018 Brownstown Speedway Super Late Model Rookie of the Year honors.

He continued racing Dirt Late Models throughout the Midwest, eventually making feature starts with major touring organizations including the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and World of Outlaws Late Model Series.

In 2022, Laster made his ARCA Menards Series debut at Daytona International Speedway, finishing 13th in his first national-series start. Since then, "The Pizza Man" has continued building his resume in stock car racing, competing on everything from dirt tracks and short tracks to superspeedways and road courses.

Now, he gets another opportunity to put that dirt experience to work at Springfield. This time with Rex Racing Co. along for the ride.

Meet the Rex Racing Co. "Pizza Car"

Of course, you can't sponsor "The Pizza Man" without having a little fun with it.

For the Calypso 100, Laster's No. 83 Clubb Racing Ford Fusion will carry a special Rex Racing Co. "Pizza Car" paint scheme, combining our branding with a pizza-inspired design created specifically for the Springfield race weekend. The overall scheme was designed by Gavin Newton of Runnings Racing Designs, while logo variants were made by Kooper Glick of Koop Designs

The Pizza Car Could Be Coming to Your Diecast Collection

We're also working to give collectors an opportunity to own the Rex Racing Co. Pizza Car in 1:64 scale. Like other diecast, production will be dependent on meeting the manufacturer's minimum order quantity and receiving all necessary approvals.

We'll be sharing additional information about the Pizza Car diecast, including pre-order details and production updates, through this site and our social media.
